Sera
by Synapse Studio |
Sera web-based software enables performance troupes or presenting organizations to take advance reservations for events.
Sera is targeted at small organizations who don't have the means to sell advance tickets, but wish to allow their fans to avoid taking chances at the door.

To play with the functionality of Sera, try the Circus Contraption demo. Circus Contraption also has a separate live version on their website (linked from the Events page); please make reservations for actual events only if you intend to attend!
For access to the administrative end of the demo, contact jay@SynapseStudio.com for the URL and password.
The demo shows how the system can be linked into your organization's website, but again if you follow a link out, use the back arrow to return to the demo reservations system.
Sera is a Perl CGI script. Synapse is currently talking to interested organizations to determine whether to release the Sera script for local implementations or to provide a hosted service.
Sera was originally created for Circus Contraption, after a series of sold-out performances necessitated turning many fans away. This version was released for public use in April, 2000. The project of making Sera portable to other organizations is for the most part complete, but currently in the beta phase.
Synapse Studio intends to provide Sera for free.
